I received an article to put in the e4u Newsletter and I was impressed with the content - and it is short and to the point - the only kind I will print. Here is some good advice.

Too Much Choice Can Kill Your Business - How To Stay Focused On Profits

Is your business laser-focused? Here are three strategies
to target your profits...

One of the great traps that Internet entrepreneurs fall
into is losing focus.

With all the money-making products, opportunities, and
affiliate programs available on the Internet today, it
becomes more and more difficult to decide on a singular aim
and stick with it.

However, it has been proven in marketing for years that
repetition and consistency are the keys to establishing
confidence in your customers. This confidence, in turn, is
the key ingredient they need in order to buy from you.

As a result, changing directions, products, messages, even
look-and-feel too often will alienate your customers before
you even get started.

Focus is the key to avoiding this trap.

However, there is a problem. Most budding Internet
entrepreneurs flat-out don't know whether the product they
have, or the marketing efforts they undertake, are (a)
working or (b) even likely to work. This makes it difficult
and worrisome to stay focused on the plan if they don't see
results immediately.

This is where effective Idea planning can save the day.

You need to know 3 things about your business idea in order
to stay focused on it confidently:

1. You need to know that your product meets a well-defined
customer need and that they want your solution
2. You need to know how to reach your customers in a way
that your business can afford
3. You need to know exactly what steps to take to make it
happen, and what to watch for to make sure it's working.

Fortunately, there is an easy step-by-step way to do this.

First, you define who your target market is and how your
solution helps them.

Second, you define simple, measurable ways to reach that
market. Remember the three key pillars of fast and
profitable marketing:
 
- Effective use of pay-per-click instant traffic
- Using e-zine ads and articles to broaden your reach
- Using Joint Ventures for instantaneous sales

Third, you check the following key variables as your plan
progresses, to tell you how to expand or adapt your
roll-out for maximum profits:

- Number of visitors to your sales page
- Number of subscribers to your mailing list
- Number of sales resulting from the visitors to your sales
page

Following these three steps consistently is all it takes to
airlift your business to higher ground. The steps are not
guesswork. They're common sense, and they work.

My twin grandbabies (boys)

Poppa is so proud of this Blessing, he has a hard time going to work. Lucky he owns his own business, but actually he is helping momma who is recovering from a C Section birth. But when poppa does not go to work and momma cannot - guess who is having to fill in? Everyone is doing fine - babies performing as they should, eating, sleeping and pooping. A real blessing.

Spam is affecting all areas of business. I had a problem this week. I ran a solo ad and sent the solo to the customer - he did not receive it - he followed up with 3 more e-mails doubting that I even ran his solo and wanting to know why I did not answer - again I answered - again he did not receive it - therefore resulting in a refund request. I honored that request because I don't hassle over the money - it is easier to just return it - I've only had 1 refund request in 7 years and that is not a bad record. Don't know what the answer is - if they can't get their e-mails - how do they know if they have any results or not, outside of sales - but people often write and ask questions - they cannot get through.

If your ISP has such a strict filter on - you should do some checking on it - you should be able to go to the trash bin and view all the e-mails that have been banned or bounced. Don't put up with an ISP that will not allow you to do that - you are missing out on some important mail.

Another bad virus - they make it look like it is coming from your website - they are getting more and more clever all the time. Just remember - DON'T OPEN ATTACHMENTS IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM. I do not send out e-mails with attachments.

Political Joke

Did you hear about the Jew, the Hindu and the Democrat who were
traveling though the country and had car trouble?  They stopped at a farmhouse and
the farmer said they could spend the night, but one of them would have to
sleep in the barn as there wasn't room for them all in the house. 

The Hindu said he had always lived a simple life and didn't mind, so out he went. Two
minutes later there was a knock at the door.  It was the Hindu. "There is
a cow in the barn", he said, "and we Hindus consider them sacred. I
couldn't possibly impose upon her space."

So the Jew goes to the barn to sleep.  Two minutes later there was a
knock at the door.  It was the Jew.  "There is a pig in the barn",  he
said, "and we Jews consider them unclean.  I couldn't possibly spend the night
with a pig."

The Democrat was then dispatched to the barn.  Two  minutes later there
was a knock at the door. 

It was the cow and the pig.

Of course you can pass it on and change your choice of politics.
