TAKING A SECOND
LOOK
by
Sharon Lambkin
---------------------------------
OK - I admit - I'm tired
I've read all the guru's instructions (by the way - what is the
job
description of a guru?) (What makes them a guru?)(Does guru's
mode of
operation make it right for everyone?)
Well we may all put our pants on one leg at a time and our socks
one
foot at a time, but that doesn't make them all look good when
they
are on. One may look neat - the other one sloppy.
The point I am making is everyone has their own talent and when
you
wrap your talent in someone elses wrapping - you don't look the
same.
We have entry level people coming on board every day trying to
operate
like a professional.
The level of frustration is very high and they feel like they are
brain
damaged and cannot learn. Remember that professionals did not get
to
be a professional over night.
They may be trying to sell you their product which they developed
over
a long period of time in a way which makes it look so simple that
"anyone"
can do it.
They cover over all the flaws in such a way that it would make
the brush
strokes that brush out the flaws on models look like childs play.
Everything that looks perfect has brush strokes on it. Why?
Perfection
sells. Everyone wants to be perfect - but perfect is not normal.
Everyone
would like to look like the models and everyone would like to be
as rich
as Bill Gates.
We all have flaws. Some can be brushed out with a little brush
and
some may need a big brush. You know I actually thought that
posting
all e-mail I get in my newsletter would be a deterrant to my
readers -
but it has worked the other way.
When I post an e-mail where someone has corrected me on something
has
made my readers have more faith in what I say because it is
believable.
I believe in being honest in all things. That way you don't have
to
remember all the promises you made that you can't keep.
Read all the testimonies on the web (the guru's say you have to
have
these) Who do you think is going to post a negative one?
It's alright to come on line and be "entry level."
Just start searching for a product which you can have faith in
and learn
the most responsible and believable way to promote it. Remember
there
are more "entry level" people out there looking for
products and
the know how to do it. Not everyone comes on board a
professional.
What makes us think that we can come on board, learn the
computer,
find a product, learn marketing skills and start pulling in
$20,000
per month. That is not realistic, so why do we beat ourselves up
over
it.
There are three levels of internet marketing.
Entry Level
Intermediate
Professional
Go back to basics - we learned to crawl before we could walk. We
learned to
walk before we could run, we learned to run before we could
sprint.
If you are "entry level" - be content in that until you
yourself
determine you should move up to Intermediate level - then be
content
with that until you yourself determine when you should move into
the
playing field of the Professional.
I know how hard it is to work for weeks on a new site, launch it
and
start marketing it. The first thing you do is start comparing
your
newfound knowledge with all the professionals with their fancy
coding,
flash work, fancy forms and right away draw back like a turtle
drawing
its head back into the shell.
Don't you realize that every day there are thousands and
thousands of
people just coming on board and getting their feet wet, they
would
love to fall into a site that they can relate to and not feel
overwhelmed
with all the bells and whistles.
We'll all get there - just not overnight. My husband and I have
been
in some form of sales for many, many - oooooh many - years and
you
see people trying to make themselves over to be like someone else
and
you will fall on your face. We all have a built in inner self -
and
the old saying of 'to thine own self be true" is never more
true than
in marketing.
Just because you buy a car that will go 150 miles an hour doesn't
mean you drive at 150 miles an hour every minute you are on the
road.
Slow down - take it at your own pace - stop and smell the roses.
Be your own person - not a carbon copy of someone you think is
more
successful. Stop and look in the mirror - there just may be
someone
looking at your journey trying to copy you. A copy of a copy of a
copy
gets weaker with each copy. Be original - go with that gut
feeling - it's
there for a reason.

I have been working very hard for the past month on my new site which is a Business Listing site for my area.
I must get good listings before I start
promoting this site. I have really been studying the
Search Engines and putting what I have learned to use. I now have
over 23 pages
listed in Google in 4 weeks - which is a very good thing to
accomplish.
Here is a good site for Search Engine use:
Just enter into the search engine -
"search engine optimization" - you will come up with a
lot of good
information - just read and re-read - and put to use what you
have learned. It will pay off.
Did you know you can see how many pages you have listed in google?
Just enter into the search engine this:
allinurl:yourdomainname.com - it will list all your pages. Just
take a look at
my new site and what I have accomplished in 4 weeks: just enter
into the search engine:
allinurl:rockport-etc.com
It will only list the last page - just click at
the bottom to see all the pages. - Most of this I learned this
past month.

| Did you know that 52 of the 55 signers of the Declaration of Independence were orthodox, deeply committed Christians? The other three believed in the Bible as the divine truth, in the God of Scripture, in His personal intervention. Immediately after creating the Declaration of Independence, the Continental Congress voted to purchase and import 20,000 copies of the Scripture for the people of this nation. Patrick Henry is still remembered for his words, "Give me liberty or give me death." But in current textbooks the context of these words are deleted. Here is what he actually said: "An appeal to arms and the God of hosts is all that is left us. But we shall not fight our battle alone. There is a just God that presides over the destinies of nations. The battle sir, is not to the strong alone, is life so dear and peace so sweet as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death." These sentences have been erased from our textbooks. The following year, 1776, Henry wrote this: "It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For that reason alone, people of other faiths have been afforded the freedom of worship here." Consider these words Thomas Jefferson wrote in the front of his well worn Bible: "I am a real Christian, that is to say, a disciple of the doctrines of Jesus. I have little doubt that our whole country will soon be rallied to the unity of our Creator." Jefferson was also the chairman of the American Bible Society, which he considered his highest and most important role. On July 4, 1821, President John Adams said, "The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of government with the principles of Christianity." Calvin Coolidge, our 30th President, reaffirmed this truth when he wrote, "The foundations of our society and our government rest so much on the teachings of the Bible that it would be difficult to support them if faith in these teachings would cease to be practically in our country." In 1782 Congress voted this resolution: "The Congress of the United States recommends and approves the Holy Bible for use in all schools." William Holmes McGuffey, author of the McGuffey Reader used in our public schools until 1963, said: "The Christian religion is the religion of our country. From it are derived our notions on the character of God, on the great moral Governor of the universe. On its doctrines are founded the peculiarities of our free institutions. From no other source has the author drawn more conspicuously than from the sacred Scriptures. From these extracts from the Bible I make no apology." Of the first 108 universities founded in America, 106 were distinctly Christian, including the first, Harvard University, chartered in 1636. In the original Harvard Student Handbook, rule No.1 was students seeking entrance must know Latin and Greek so they can study the Scriptures: "Let every student be plainly instructed and earnestly pressed to consider well, the main end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ, which is eternal life, John 17:3; and therefore to lay Jesus Christ as the only foundation for our children to follow the moral principles of the Ten Commandments." We ask God to bless America, especially as we remember the horrific tragedy of 9-11. But how can He bless a nation that has departed so far from Him? Prior to Sept. 11, God wasn't truly welcome in America, was He? Is He yet? Certainly that's arguable, with godless federal judges declaring the Ten Commandments inappropriate for public display after ruling our Pledge of Allegiance unconstitutional because it mentions God. It truly is a shame most of what you read in this message has been erased from public school textbooks by revisionists intend on removing the Truth about our nation's Christian roots. What is the Truth? Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth and the life." Pass this along to others so the Truth of our nation's history will be told. Share this patriotic message with everyone you know so the Lord, who has faithfully and lovingly watched over our nation all these years, may touch hardened hearts and inspire closed minds to His Truth -- that America still is one nation under God! Make your stand for the Truth by signing a petition challenging today's Congress to reign in rogue judges so our Constitution again is interpreted in keeping with our forefathers' intent. Here's where to stand up for America's Godly heritage: http://www.ChristianPetitions.com |

Share this message with others and the Truth will set America free! |

The Real Truth and Nothing But The Truth!
During a trial, in a small Missouri town the local prosecuting attorney called his first witness to the stand. She was sworn in, asked if she would tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help her God.
The witness was a proper well-dressed elderly lady, the grandmother type, well spoken and poised. The prosecuting attorney approached the woman and asked, "Mrs. Jones, do you know me?
She responded, "Why, yes I do know you, Mr. Williams. I've known you since you were a young boy and frankly, you've been a big disappointment to me. You lie, cheat on your wife, manipulate people and talk badly about them behind their back. Your think you're a rising big shot when you haven't the sense to realize you never will amount to anything more than a two-bit paper-pushing shyster. "Yes, sir, I know you quite well."
The Lawyer was stunned, He couldn't even think for a few minutes. Then, slowly he backed away, fearing the looks on the judge and juror's faces, not to mention the court reporter who documented every word. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?
She again replied, "Why yes I do. I have know Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster. He is lazy, bigoted liar and has a bad drinking problem. The man can't build or keep a normal relationship with anyone and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. Yes, I know him.
The defense attorney almost fainted and was seen slipping downward in his chair, looking at the floor. Laughter mixed with gasps, thundered throughout the courtroom and the audience was on the verge of chaos.
At this point, the judge brought the courtroom to silence, called both counselors to the bench, and in a very quiet voice said, "If either of you morons asks her if she know me, you're going to jail."

Subject: Fw: The difference between margarine and
butter?
| DO
YOU KNOW... The difference between margarine and butter? Both have the same amount of calories. Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams compared to 5 grams. Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter according to a recent Harvard Medical Study. Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods. Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few only because they are added! Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods. Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years. Now for Margarine... Very high in Trans Fatty Acids... Triple risk of Coronary Heart Disease.. Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) Lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good
cholesterol)... Increases the Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. |

This is the actual
radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities
off the coast of Newfoundland in October 1995. Radio conversation
released by the chief of naval operations, 10-10-95.
CANADIANS: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the south to
avoid a collision.
AMERICANS: Recommend you divert your course 15 degrees to the
north to avoid a collision.
CANADIANS: Negative. You will have to divert your course 15
degrees to the south to avoid a collision.
AMERICANS: This is the captain of a US Navy ship. I say again,
divert YOUR course.
CANADIANS: No, I say again, you divert YOUR course.
AMERICANS: This is the Aircraft Carrier US LINCOLN, the second
largest ship in the United States Atlantic Fleet. We are
accompanied with three Destroyers, three Cruisers and numerous
support vessels. I DEMAND that you change your course 15 degrees
north. I say again, that's one-five degrees north, or
counter-measures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this
ship.
CANADIANS: This is a lighthouse. Your call.
